Meet Fluence Compute Providers: Nebula Block

Meet Fluence Compute Providers: Nebula Block

In September, we launched FLT Staking to the public, moving closer to building a cost-effective, enterprise-grade compute platform accessible worldwide. Currently we are scaling the network gradually by adding new compute providers and boosting server availability. We've been partnering with top-tier compute providers which we'd like to introduce in this article series. These collaborations create a strong, reliable foundation for our network, offering customers access to the best DePIN compute resources at prices up to 80% lower than traditional cloud providers.

Nebula Block is a provider of enterprise-grade server resources that has been supporting the Fluence Network from the very beginning. Read on to find out more.

Why did you choose to join the cloudless movement and become a compute provider for the Fluence Network?

Nebula Block offers infrastructure solutions that can reduce costs by up to 70% compared to major cloud providers. We've joined the cloudless movement and partnered with Fluence because it aligns with our commitment to decentralization and innovation in blockchain and AI infrastructure. As a leading Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, with over seven years of experience in blockchain and four years in AI, Nebula Block specializes in high-performance cloud services for blockchain AI, DePIN projects, and AI research.

Fluence’s decentralized, verifiable, and low-cost compute solutions perfectly complement the scalable infrastructure we provide. With our extensive GPU resources, Nebula Block strengthens the cloudless movement by boosting the computing power needed for decentralized applications and services. Fluence’s community-driven, open-source model and mission to break free from centralized clouds resonate deeply with our values. By joining this movement, Nebula Block is helping to shape the future of blockchain and AI.

What are the strategic and business advantages that working with Fluence is bringing to your company? What do you value about Fluence and what makes the protocol appealing and unique?

Partnering with Fluence provides Nebula Block several strategic advantages. Fluence’s decentralized platform aligns perfectly with our values, supporting the expansion of our AI cloud services while maintaining decentralization and openness.

Fluence’s blockchain-based economic model opens new monetization and scalability opportunities, allowing us to better serve blockchain AI projects, DePIN initiatives, and academic partners focused on LLMs and AI research. The decentralized architecture also boosts the security and performance of our services, reducing reliance on centralized cloud providers and reinforcing Nebula Block's leadership in decentralized AI infrastructure.

Fluence’s open-source, permissionless protocol fosters collaboration and innovation, enabling us to build scalable, secure AI solutions while advancing the broader adoption of decentralized technologies. Its unique blockchain-powered, serverless computing platform offers a verifiable, low-cost alternative to traditional cloud computing, ideal for AI workloads.

How do your infrastructure, location, and operations looked before joining Fluence, and how do they look like now?

Before joining Fluence, Nebula Block had worked with four data centers across North America, including Equinix, TierPoint, and Enovum. The data centers we collaborate with in Montreal are certified as green data centers. Additionally, all our partner data centers have multiple certifications, including SOC2 and ISO27001 compliance.

Equinix, a global leader in data center services, offers secure, scalable colocation across 240+ facilities, with top certifications like HIPAA and ISO 27001. As an Equinix Silver Partner, we benefit from their commitment to sustainability, including 100% renewable energy. Their MTL2 Montreal data center features 700 cabinets, Nvidia pod hosting, and 37,300 square feet of colocation space.

Enovum, based in Montreal, specializes in high-density, energy-efficient colocation, supporting up to 150 kW per cabinet and planning four data centers with 85 MW total power.

TierPoint operates 40+ U.S. data centers, focusing on hybrid IT and disaster recovery, with 40,000 square feet of colocation space and 2 MW power capacity.

How do you see the DePIN space and your role in it now? How about in 5 years?

The DePIN sector is still emerging, but it has the potential to transform infrastructure by decentralizing services traditionally controlled by centralized entities. Nebula Block views this as essential for the future of blockchain and AI, as DePIN aligns with Web3’s ethos of greater security, scalability, and control.

Nebula Block plays a key role in DePIN by offering high-performance, distributed AI cloud services tailored for blockchain AI projects. Our powerful GPU resources and scalable infrastructure enable projects to build and scale AI models without relying on centralized providers, ensuring resilience and transparency.

In five years, we expect DePIN to become a mainstream solution for industries beyond blockchain and AI. Nebula Block aims to be a leader in this space by continually advancing decentralized infrastructure to support even more complex applications.

Our vision is to leverage Fluence’s decentralized computing model to provide seamless, trustless, and scalable solutions, democratizing access to high-performance computing and driving wider adoption of decentralized technologies.

Finally, what is your advice for any company out there considering joining Fluence?
