Community Update Nº2

Community Update Nº2

Welcome to our monthly Fluence community update. We love to keep you informed about the latest developments within our project. In July we launched the FLT Stake Race - dynamic quest to onboard users into the Fluence protocol and reward the best racers with the chance to stake $FLT in the largest decentralized serverless platform. We also had a great time interacting with builders and developers at EthCC Brussels on our unique journey towards decentralized serverless computing.

Dive into the highlights for all the latest updates.

Major Developments

  • We introduced you to the FLT Stake Race, a dynamic quest to onboard users into the Fluence protocol and reward the best racers with the chance to stake $FLT in the largest decentralized serverless platform and total prize pool of 1,000,000 $FLT
  • Week 1 leaderboard update for Fluence Stake Race is finally out with 20 racers winning 10,000 FLT this past week.
  • New proposal for the continued development of the Fluence platform was initiated on our DAO governance forum. The proposal has been voted upon and accepted
  • Fluence is on DePIN scan. Fluence is now integrated into DePINscan by IoTeX, which provides transparent metrics and real-time updates on our role in shaping the computing and AI landscape.
  • We have been cultivating partnerships with compute providers located in six top-tier data centers to utilize their idle computing resources to improve the network’s capacity and reliability for Fluence. Providers get the ability to set their price, monetize CPU/RAM and Stable rewards.

Other Announcements and Updates

  • We released a couple of new DePINed podcast episodes. Fluence co-founder Tom Trowbridge and Alex Rawitz discussed DePIN platforms and how they can influence vehicle data for the next-gen automotive industry in the episode titled “How DePIN could make your Car Smarter. In another episode, Tom hosted Micha Anthenor Benoliel, founder of Nodle, discussing how the network connects the world by using smartphones as nodes to create a digital trust network for social good.
  • Jonathan Victor from Filecoin hosted Fluence co-founder Evgeny Ponomarev in an exciting AMA to discuss the architecture, use cases, and collaboration between Fluence and Filecoin. It also provided answers to questions from the community and future plans.
  • Watch the recording or read a summary of Tom Trowbridge’s talk at DePIN Brussels on how staking works on Fluence. Staking is crucial to secure compute resources on the Fluence network.
  • Learn more about decentralized AI and serverless compute from this podcast hosted by ChainLeak
  • Week 1 and Week 2 of the FLT Racers have been running smoothly. Head over to your tasks, complete them to climb the ranks and earn checkpoints.
  • Explore with our co-founder Tom Trowbridge in this article on how Fluence is disrupting cloud computing models, building a resilient network essential for the future of decentralized computing.
  • Our team lead Mike Voronov, shared his views on zero-knowledge proofs in blockchain scalability

Events

We co-hosted an EthCC Brussels edition of DePIN Day Brussels

  • Read the summary of DePIN Day Brussels here.
  • Bernhard Borges, Chief Scientist at Fluence, kicked off the EthCC Brussels week giving a talk about Enabling Decentralized Networks With DePIN and PoC. He also spoke about how to bring trustless compute to data with Fluence and Data Preparation at FIL Dev Summit.
  • Alexey Proshutinskiy rocked the stage at FIL Dev Summit Brussels to discuss the cloudless stack and the Fluence compute marketplace.
  • Tom Trowbridge, co-founder at Fluence Network gave a talk on what sets Fluence apart from other computing marketplaces. He highlighted that Fluence's onchain cloudless marketplace facilitates the trustless matching capacity demand and capacity supply in a resilient network.

And that’s a wrap! July has been an incredible ride filled with tons of development and interesting talks and presentations. We’re moving forward toward our goal of cloudless computing, with even more exciting news planned for you this month.

Remember to join the FLT Stake Race and complete weekly tasks! Each task brings you closer to winning your share of the 1 million FLT prize pool. Take the lead at the FLT Stake Race
