Welcome to our monthly Fluence community update. We love to keep you informed about the latest developments within our project. In September, we successfully launched FLT Staking and ramped up efforts to shape the DePIN ecosystem by hosting one of the most successful DePIN Days to date, alongside TOKEN2049 in Singapore. Dive into our highlights for all the latest updates.

Community Highlights

  • The wait is over - FLT Staking is officially live! Fluence co-founder Tom Trowbridge shared the exciting news about FLT Staking Launch during the recent DePIN Day in Singapore, marking a significant milestone for Fluence and our entire community. Find out more and get involved, check out the announcement post here. 
  • To find out more about FLT Staking and what’s ahead for Fluence, join the upcoming Staking Recap AMA on Oct 16th at 4PM UTC, on the Fluence Twitter page.
  • Prizes for Stake Race Lap 1 winners are available for claiming now. The vesting period has been reduced to 2 months and racers can claim vested $FLT by following the steps here.
  • Read the key takeaways from the very successful DePIN Day Singapore, our biggest event so far which we hosted alongside TOKEN2049, together with Aethir in partnership with Parasail, Huddle01, Kwil, Ceramic and U2U Network. It featured an amazing lineup of speakers, panelists, industry experts and researchers to discuss the future of DePIN.

Platform News 

  • We have been scaling the compute network step by step, continuously onboarding new capacity provider partners and increasing server availability. 660 Compute Units have been added via PiKNiK, a Filecoin storage provider, boosting Capacity Commitments (CC) on the Fluence platform. To learn more about our collaboration with PiKNiK, read this post.
  • We partnered with Parasail Network to host the Fluence Delegation Pool on their platform. Parasail enables staking of smaller amounts of FLT further delivering even more capacity for cloudless applications. Now you can seamlessly delegate your $FLT tokens and earn rewards.

Community Engagement & Events 

  • On September 4th, we hosted DePIN Day in Seoul, bringing together the local and global DePIN experts for a day of knowledge sharing. Watch the recordings from the DePIN Day Seoul on our YouTube channel. 
  • The most recent edition of DePIN Day took place in Singapore, alongside the Token 2049, and was organised by Fluence and Aethir in partnership with Parasail, Huddle01, Kwil, Ceramic and U2U. With over 500 attendees, and 28 speakers representing top DePIN projects such as Helium, xNet Mobile, Silencio, Geodnet, RSS3, Chainbase, Daylight, Dawn, Peaq — this was one of our most successful DePIN Days so far.   • Join us in Thailand - we’re thrilled to bring DePIN Day to Bangkok mid November. Sign up here or apply for a speaking slot.
  • We have recently invited our community to participate in a small marketing survey to help Fluence marketing operations. Everyone is welcome to fill in the form - and all survey participants have a chance to win $10 worth of FLT!  

Community Deep Dives & AMAs

  • Don’t miss the upcoming AMA featuring Fluence founders - Staking Recap AMA will take place on Oct 16th at 4PM UTC, on the Fluence Twitter page.
  • Fluence co-founder Evgeny Ponomarev joined the Revelo Roundtable AMA to discuss Fluence in detail and the next steps for the project and community. 
  • Evgeny joined our friends at DePIN Mass Adoption, an event organized by Parasail Network to explore what is driving DePIN forward. 
  • Catch the highlights of our co-founder Tom Trowbridge at the DePIN Founders Day hosted by FrodoBots, an event bringing together top minds in DePIN.

Throughout September we released several new DePINed podcast episodes.

  • Ep. 24, “How Helium is Redefining Wireless Networks through DePIN Innovation”. Fluence co-founder Tom Trowbridge hosted Ronald Kogens, discussing how DePIN replaces traditional telecoms with crowdsourced, crypto-incentivized network for IoT and mobile, built by individuals deploying hotspots. 
  • Ep. 23, Is Dawn the Key to Fast, Cheap, Decentralized Internet?. Tom Trowbridge and Neil Chaterjee, the founder and CEO of Dawn discuss the future of decentralized broadband networks. Learn how Dawn is creating a decentralized broadband platform that offers high-performance internet through user-powered mesh networks.
  • Ep. 22, Revolutionizing Location Services with Geodnet. Fluence Staking launch has been covered widely in the ecosystem, and our team contributed thought leadership on DePIN to various publications.

Technology & Ecosystem Updates 

  • As revenue in DePIN grows, token models must evolve. At DePIN Day Seoul, Fluence’s co-founder Tom Trowbridge explored different token models in the DePIN ecosystem. Read the snapshot here.
